The town of Sanur is the most elegant on the island of Bali.
It was the first location to welcome Western tourism to the island.
Biasa presented this store with a more refined and elegant touch than its other showrooms.
The existing building was gutted and redesigned internally.
The materials were benkeraj wood, mirrors and palimanan, the Balinese limestone. The false ceiling was created using plaster and natural woven fibres with an almost textile texture. The lighting and furnishing components were designed within the studio’s philosophy, with design touches drawn from indigenous culture. The double-height space with voids allowed the space to soar upward.
